On July 18th, Ukraine and the Czech Republic signed an agreement on Security Cooperation and Long-Term Support focused on strengthening their ammunition production capacities and establishing joint ventures.

The agreement solidifies Ukraine’s and Czech Republic’s commitment to security cooperation and long-term support amidst Russia’s ongoing aggression. It underscores the Czech Republic’s unwavering support for Ukraine’s sovereignty, condemning Russia’s actions and calling for the withdrawal of Russian forces. The agreement includes provisions for enhanced cooperation in the military-technical field, mainly in the areas of small and large caliber ammunition, small arms and light weapons production, UAV production, electronic warfare, heavy equipment, military training, industrial cooperation, as well as cybersecurity, and humanitarian assistance. It emphasizes Ukraine’s path towards EU and NATO membership, endorses comprehensive reforms in Ukraine, and pledges to support Ukraine’s reconstruction and sustainable development through partnership with Dnipro and the Dnipropetrovsk region. Both nations commit to enhancing bilateral relations and maintaining a collective response to future threats.
